Episode 1 of a story series for TRABEAR. A coat waits in the back of a thrift shop; a small bear sees it, saves up for years, and finally takes it home. Every piece has a past life.
The biggest problem with AI animation is that the character changes from shot to shot. Here every shot starts from approved key frames built from the character's turnaround sheets, and shots with the character in them are locked at both the first and last frame, so the face can't wander.
Four acts — the object waiting, the meeting, the effort, the reward — then a title card and the logo. The structure is now the template for every episode, so a new story starts from a proven rhythm.
Narration by a warm older voice, a piano score edited to the exact running time, a sound effect for every action, and subtitles set in an aged-paper serif that matches the title card. The vertical cut reframes each shot instead of cropping blindly; wide shots are extended with generated top and bottom.
